The Sivananda World Peace Foundation hosted its 12th International Day of Yoga today at the Durban Amphitheatre, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, under the theme “Yoga for Anti-Aging”. The event promoted wellness, healthy ageing, stress reduction, and social cohesion through the practice of yoga. Thousands of participants from diverse cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds gathered in the spirit of Unity in Diversity and Oneness.Amongst the dignitaries attending was His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, who lent royal support to the celebration.

His presence underscored the Zulu Royal Household’s ongoing commitment to wellness and unity in the province. Hosted by Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu, President of the Sivananda World Peace Foundation, the event reaffirmed the Foundation’s 12th year commitment to bringing yoga and holistic wellness to schools, rural communities, and religious institutions across KZN. “Yoga unites us beyond our differences. Today we celebrated health, dignity, and oneness as one nation,” said Prince Mabheka Zulu.
