HIGHER HEALTH Peer Educators Participate in 12th International Yoga Day Celebrations in Durban led by Deputy Minister, Dr Nomusa Dube-Ncube About 35 HIGHER HEALTH Peer Educators from Durban-based higher education campuses joined Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Nomusa Dube-Ncube, for the 12th International Yoga Day celebrations held at the Durban Amphitheatre in collaboration with the Sivananda World Peace Foundation.

The Deputy Minister encouraged students to participate in yoga and wellness activities, highlighting the positive impact these practices can have on mental health, particularly in helping students manage exam anxiety, stress, and the pressures associated with academic life.Dr Dube-Ncube also expressed her interest in expanding yoga and wellness initiatives to higher education campuses, recognising the importance of promoting holistic approaches to student well-being.

The Peer Educators were accompanied by HIGHER HEALTH KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Manager, Ms Nonhlanhla Nkosi, together with Campus Care Workers Iyazi, Melusi, and Phumla.
