

Durban, KwaZulu-NatalThe President of the Sivananda World Peace Foundation, Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu, was honoured last night with the Premier’s Excellence Award for Best Social Cohesion and Moral Regeneration Programme at the 2026 KwaZulu-Natal Premier’s Excellence Awards held at the Durban ICC.
The prestigious awards ceremony was hosted by the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Hon. Thamsanqa Arthur Ntuli, and was attended by the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Republic of South Africa.The award recognizes Prince Mabheka Zulu’s decades of humanitarian service and the Foundation’s flagship community programmes that promote peace, ubuntu, interfaith dialogue, youth development, and moral regeneration across KwaZulu-Natal. Through initiatives including the Sivananda Peace Pillars and the International Day of Yoga, the Foundation has worked to bridge cultural divides and build a shared sense of belonging among all communities.
Speaking after receiving the award, Premier Thamsanqa Arthur Ntuli commended Prince Mabheka Zulu for his leadership: “This award celebrates leaders who turn the values of social cohesion and moral regeneration into action on the ground.
